Guidelines
  1. It is mandatory to fill the online admission application form for admissions at NITK. The candidates have to complete online application process, once notice for the particular programme is available on the NITK official website ( https://www.nitk.ac.in )
    1. CCMT-2026 HQ (for M Tech programme)
    2. JoSAA/DASA/CSAB/ICCR/MEA Coordinating Institute (for B Tech programme)
    3. NIMCET Coordinating Institute (for MCA programmes)
    4. Institute’s Admissions - M Tech (Research/Sponsored), PhD, MSc, MBA programmes
    All the relevant information should be filled and the required certificates/documents should be uploaded at this portal.
  2. Please keep ready the image/pdf version of the following certificates/documents and relevant data before you start to fill the application form (Each file should be less than 3MB.).
      1. Photo ID proof as per Govt. of India norms (Copy of Aadhaar Card is compulsory)
      2. Original Date of Birth Certificate issued by Competent Authority / X Marks Card as proof of Date of Birth
      3. Original Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended
      4. Original Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended
      5. APAAR ID / ABC ID (Mandatory for all Indian Nationals)
      6. Original Migration Certificate from the Head of the Institute last attended
      7. Aadhaar card of parent and their contact number
      8. Medical Certificate in the format provided
      9. Self Undertaking for Pending Documents to be submitted, if applicable
      1. Provisional Admission Letter downloaded from the DASA/MEA/ICCR/JOSAA/CSAB portal
      2. Nomination Letter given by Govt. of India (if applicable)
      3. Date of Birth Certificate issued by competent authority / Class X Certificate as proof of Date of Birth
      4. Financial Guarantee Certificate issued by ICCR (for ICCR)
      5. Original Degree/Provisional Degree Certificate, if degree is completed
      6. Original Grade/Mark sheets of qualifying examination for all the semesters in one pdf
      7. Medical Certificate
      8. Passport of the Student
      9. Passport of Parent employed in Gulf Countries (for CIWG)
      10. Parent's valid VISA (for CIWG)
      11. Parent's work Permit (for CIWG)
      12. Letter from company of parent working in Gulf Countries (for CIWG)
      13. Authenticated Citizenship card (for applications who are nationals of Nepal without passport)
      14. Visa of the Student (foreign nationals) or OCI Card if applicable
      15. Copy of the Citizenship (for ICCR )
      16. Proof of 2 years of education (11th and 12th or equivalent) in foreign country in case of NRI/Indian Nationals
      17. Character/Conduct and/or Study Certificate from the Institution last attended
      18. Migration Certificate from the Head of the Institute last attended
      19. Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended
      20. Self Undertaking for Pending Documents to be submitted, if applicable
      21. APAAR ID / ABC ID if applicable (Mandatory for all Indian Nationals)

      1. Original Certificate of Category (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) Candidates if applicable, In case of OBC-NCL certificate must be issued on or after April 1, 2026 by the Govt of India, Issued by Competent Authority
      2. Caste Validity Certificate for SC/ST/OBC-NCL Certificate for candidates of Maharashtra State
      3. Form of Declaration / Undertaking by OBC-NCL candidate in the format provided in NITK website
      4. Original Income and Asset Certificate for GEN-EWS Candidates if applicable, The GEN-EWS certificate must be issued on or after April 1, 2026 by the Govt of India, Issued by Competent Authority
      1. UDID card for Persons with Disabilities or Disability Certificate issued by the competent authority and/or physical verification report issued by verifying center during JoSAA if applicable)
      1. Provisional admission letter downloaded from the JoSAA/CSAB portal
      2. Score Card of JEE (Main)
      3. Admit Card of JEE (Main)
      4. OCI/PIO Card, If applicable

      6. Original Degree Certificate/Provisional Degree Certificate (if the degree is completed)

  3. The candidates must pay the required fee (as per their category) at the online payment portal link provided at the end of the application form. At the time of admission, the candidate has to pay the full fee as mentioned. The refund of excess fees collected from the candidates, who have eligibility to obtain the refund based on the annual income and other categories, will be made after successful verification of the certificates/relevant documents during the physical admission.
  4. After the successful fee payment and upload of the image/pdf files of all the required documents/certificates, the candidate will be able to submit the application at the online portal.
  5. On successful online submission of the application, a pdf version of the application will be generated. The printed (pdf file) application along with the photocopy of all the uploaded certificates/documents should be submitted during the physical admission at NITK. The candidates are advised to preserve a copy of the submitted application form for their reference. The candidates must physically report to NITK for admission as per the schedule with all the original certificates and undertaking documents. The original certificates and documents should be made available for the verification during admission.
  6. If the candidate fails to obtain and upload Transfer Certificate, Study & Character certificate and Migration certificate, an undertaking form will be generated during the submission of online application and should be submitted at the time of admission.
  7. If the candidate is allotted a seat under SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD/EWS category, they must submit the relevant original certificates at the time of admission and failing to do so will lead to the rejection of their admission at NITK. Further the OBC-NCL students must submit an undertaking in this regard.
  8. The candidate’s admission will be confirmed only on physical reporting to the institute as per the prescribed schedule.
Our Location

NITK lies on the coastal belt of Karnataka, on the National Highway 66, at about 22 kms from Mangalore towards Udupi. It lies close to Mangalore International Airport, and Railway Stations - Mangalore Central, Mangalore Junction and Surathkal. Bus Routes from Mumbai, Goa and Bangalore (that terminate at Udupi - Manipal) pass through the College and visitors can disembark right away. All Express buses to Udupi, Manipal or Karkala from Mangalore drop you at the College NITK Express Bus Stop. All parents / guardians with wards can apply in advance for accommodation at the International Hostel (IH) and the College Guest House, NITK (Limited accommodation). Beside these, Surathkal and Mangalore are dotted with a flurry of lodges, food Joints and Shopping Complexes.
